Kathleen L. Newman

Kathleen Haines (Arnold) Newman Kathleen Haines (Arnold) Newman, 92, of Mukilteo, Wash. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, October 19, 2015. She was born February 20, 1923 in Everett, Wash. She is survived by her husband, Samuel A. Newman; daughters, Cheryl (Fred) Moll and Nancy (Alan) Anderson; grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson, Michael (Jaclyn) Moll, Julie Moll, and Noelle (Bryan) Firth and great grandchildren, Hunter, Alexis, Blakely, and Addison. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sally (Arnold) Fleury in 1980; first husband, George Arnold in 2002; and brother, Vernon (Bud) Haines in 2011. After raising their three daughters, Kathleen went on to attend college and earn her degree is nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for over 20 years. Kathleen was a devoted member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Everett and St. Catherine's Guild. She organized the prayer shawl guild and took much pride knitting the prayer shawls. After losing her loving husband of 57 years, Kathleen married Sam and together they shared 10 years of companionship. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (gram) and great grandma. She will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. October 28, 2015, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 2301 Hoyt, Everett. Reception following at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Trinity Episcopal Church in her memory or a charity of your choice.
