Joseph Alexander Mac Isaac, age 93, of Everett, Washington passed away on March 24, 2024. He was born March 1, 1931 in Everett Washington to John A. and Margaret Mac Isaac. He joined siblings Rosemary and Claire, and later Donald, Colleen, John and William joined the family.
Joseph graduated from Immaculate Conception Grade School and attended Everett High School.
Joe worked for the phone company for several years in the late 1940’s building and installing phone switch cabinets throughout the Northwest.
Joe served in the Army after World War II in Germany from 1952 to 1954. He was in the Signal Core but didn't like climbing telephone poles so they put him in charge of gas tanks. His superiors said "As long as MacIsaac is in charge we did not have worry about it!"
Afterwards Joe ran his own successful company, "Cabinets by Joe" in Mukilteo, for over 50 years building cabinetry for homes and businesses. He always said that customers loved that he made his upper kitchen cabinets 14 inches deep instead of the standard 12 Inches so that platters could be stored in them.
Joe enjoyed music, he played harmonica and accordion and was a Lifetime Member of the Old Time Fiddlers Association.
Joe was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Everett, he was a lifelong Cathollc and at the time of his death Joe was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
Joseph never married and is survived by his brothers Donald MacIsaac of Salem, Oregon and William MacIsaac of Everett, along with 3 nephews and a niece in Oregon.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Parish on April 13, 2024 at 11:00AM followed by burial at 2:30PM at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett.
