

James R. Harrison passed on to be with the Lord on February 6, 2013. He was born to John and Thora Harrison in Arlington, WA on August 30, 1932. He is the 6th child of 8 children (3 boys and 4 girls). Jim graduated from Marysville High School in 1951. He then joined the Navy for 2 years and was a fireman aboard a ship during the Korean War. When Jim got out of the service he came to Everett and went to work for the phone company for 30 years. After retirement, he enjoyed working in his yard and taking care of his beautiful rose bushes (the yellow ones were his favorite). He also enjoyed coaching little league baseball and football, bowling, and watching the Mariners, Seahawks, and Sonics on TV. Jim leaves behind his loving wife, June, children Kristy Hansen (Robert), Kevin Harrison (Denise), Rick Willard (Vicki), sister Ruth Duffy, sisters-in-law Betty Harrison and Bessie Harrison, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lori Ann, his parents, brothers Bob Harrison, John Harrison, Jr., Dick Harrison, sisters Mildred Whitaker, Loretta Campbell, and Janice Westland, and many of his friends. A funeral service celebrating Jim’s life will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 11AM at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy, 1702 Pacific Ave., Everett, 425-252-2191.
