James Alan Cline passed away surrounded by family on Saturday September 16, 2017. Jim was born in Seattle and grew up on Vashon Island. He served for three years in the US Army, receiving a number of awards during his service. He made his career in Title Insurance, spending the last 15 as a Senior Title Officer for Chicago Title in Everett. After six years together, he married his best friend Sharon in October 1989. They made their home in Arlington, WA and had two daughters together.
Jim loved being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time at the ocean and boating with his family. Then, in 2005 he met the newest love of his life: his motorcycle. He spent every chance that he could riding.
Jim was a passionate and loud fan of the Seattle Seahawks. He was a fan from the very start in 1976, he became a season ticket holder in 1999. In all those years, he only missed one home game. He travelled out of state to root for them several times. His most notable time was the 2014 Super bowl in New York.
He leaves behind his wife Sharon; daughters Jamie Cline and Ashley Cline; sisters Star Pavish and Sunny Johnson (Craig); brothers Donald Cline (Cookie), Mike Cline (Teresa) and John Ablott; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew; and best buds Brad, Mike and Eamonn.
He is preceded in death by parents Donald Cline and Loretta Taylor Downey Cline; nephews Jonathan Brezeale and Jason Cline.
Jim’s last message was to men and women who have men they love, to insist they get a PSA test, and love to you all.
Arrangements under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Home, Everett, WA.
