Gloria (Nickel) Cook was born October 22, 1952 in New Westminster, B.C., Canada. She moved with her family to Everett, Washington, in 1961. Gloria went to be with her Lord and Savior on Memorial Day, May 25, 2020 after a short battle with brain cancer.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 44 years, Richard (Ric) Cook, and children Julie (Jason) Franklin and Bryan Cook; 6 grandchildren; sisters Judy (Keith) Brewer, Lorraine (Kenn) Carpenter, and brother Al (Bobbi) Nickel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gloria worked as a Med Tech at Everett General/Providence Hospital for 44 years and trained most of her coworkers. She was greatly respected and loved by all. Gloria loved the Lord and it was exemplified in how she lived her life. She was always willing to listen to everyone's concerns and was an encouragement to all. Gloria's family was very important to her and her grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed sleepovers with Grandma. We look forward to reuniting with her someday in heaven.
