Dennis Allen Holub

Dennis was born on December 13, 1946 in Chicago, IL. He attended college at Colorado State University where he played football and was on the wrestling team. After graduation he returned to Chicago and received his masters in engineering from Northern Illinois University. Dennis worked for Weyerhaeuser in Klamath Falls, OR and then in Everett, WA. He left Weyerhaeuser to work for Boeing and retired in 2012 after 27 years.

Dennis enjoyed attending Seahawk games with his wife and attending shows at the Paramount and 5th Avenue theatres in Seattle. One of his favorite destinations was Las Vegas where he and his wife would meet family or friends for a few days of fun. He also enjoyed traveling to the Tri-City area to visit his wife’s family and go wine tasting.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents George and Marie Holub.

He is survived by his wife Marla, a son from his previous marriage, brother Alan, nephews Marc Holub, Joshua Hulstrom and Jason (Marina) Hulstrom, nieces Lesley (Patrick) Rohrbaugh and Lauren Holub and three great nieces.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10:00-11:30 AM at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at St. John Mission Catholic Church, 829 3rd Street, Mukilteo, WA followed by the graveside service at 2:30 PM at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, 205 NE 205th Street, Shoreline, WA.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the American Heart Association.
