Daniel Raymond Hagen

Daniel Raymond Hagen was born October 23, 1930 in Everett and passed away September 29, 2014 in Everett after a lengthy illness.

Dan worked for his father at Everett Vacuum Sales and eventually buying the business in early 60’s. He later sold the business after 50 plus years and kept working until he was nearly 70. He created an atmosphere that friends could always come by and have a cup of coffee.

Laughter was his favorite pastime. He was funny, caring and young at heart He enjoyed fishing, travelling and sunshine especially at Lake Chelan. Friends were very important to him and many of his friends were maintained from grade school. Most important to him was his family, his wife of 60 years, his children and especially his grandchildren who called him Papa. His faith was always part of his life and grew stronger and deeper as he got older.

He is survived by wife of 60 years, Barbara Hagen, daughter Shelley (Jim) Mincks; son, Shawn Hagen; grandchildren, James (Danielle) Mincks, Kathleen (Christopher) Elam, Madelyn Hagen, Daniel Hagen, Annemarie Hagen, and brother, Larry (Ellen) Hagen. He is preceded by his son, Danny, parents, Ted and Helen Hagen and brother, Les.

Visitation will be held from the hours of 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Purdy and Walters with Cassidy on Thursday, October 2, 2014. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 3, 2014 at Hope Foursquare Church, 5002 Bickford Ave. NE., Snohomish.
