She was born to Andrew and Bessie Grzech (DeLancey). Connie grew up in the Duwamish area of South Seattle. She attended Holy Names High School and Seattle University. In October, 1952 she married Eugene A. Wood prior to his service in the Korean War and they spent 70 years together. Connie enjoyed her time gardening especially with her roses and with various crafting activities.
Connie is survived by her husband Eugene Wood; her children, Kenneth Wood, Douglas Wood, Susan Wood, Thomas Wood, John wood; grandchildren Lara, Marc, Iris, Brigette, Josh, Danielle, Amanda, Thomas JR, Brandan, Sawyer; great grandchildren Thomas III, Carter, Athena; and several nieces and nephews.
Connie was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Martin.
Rosary and church mass will be held on January 11, 2023 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church 8517 7th Ave SE, Everett, WA 98208-2041 starting at 11am.
Interment service will be held January 11, 2023 at Holyrood Cemetery 205 NE 205th St Shoreline, WA 98155 at 2pm.
