2nd Timothy, Chapter 4, Verses 7-8 and it reads: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them that love his appearing.
The Death Angel claimed the earthy life of Ms. Constance Renee Page on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. However, because Constance had accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, she knew that those of us who die in Christ have everlasting life with God.
On Sunday, August 11, 1963, a beautiful bouncing baby girl was born to the parents of Nathaniel and Susie Page at the Medical Center Hospital in Columbus, GA. The name given to their daughter was Constance Renee Page, affectionately called Renee by family members and Connie by her co-workers.
Constance’s parents, her two older sisters, Deborah Ann Watley and Angela Venita Robinson along with Constance moved to Atlanta from Columbus when Constance was the tender age of one year old. She was educated in the Atlanta Public School System and was a 1981 graduate of George Washington Carver Comprehensive High School where she was very popular among her peers and never met a stranger while always wearing a beautiful smile.
Constance proudly served as a majorette while in high school and after graduating, she attended Savannah State College in Savannah, GA. She eagerly took her baton twirling and high step marching skills with her as a majorette for two consecutive years. After her second year of college, Constance moved back to Atlanta and decided to go to work full-time for Allstate Insurance Company as a Customer Service Representative which she thoroughly enjoyed.
In 1989, Constance moved to Washington state to start a new life. One of Constance's greatest desires was to become a mother. On October 17, 1991, she was blessed with a beautiful baby girl named Kamaria Renee Carnes and on April 21, 1997, God blessed her again with a handsome baby boy named Justin Elliott Carnes. To say that Constance was a doting mother is an understatement, because Kamaria and Justin, along with everyone who truly knew Constance, knew that her children were the apple of her eye.
During Constance’s tenure in Washington she worked for three different companies: Allstate Insurance Company, Microsoft and Puget Sound Energy. At all three companies she worked as a Customer Service Representative.
Constance is remembered by loved ones as always being dressed to the nines, usually wearing her signature red lipstick. She was an incredibly loving person who easily made friends with others. She was known to make friends while passing through the local gas station and grocery store, often remembering and following up to ask about details that people had shared with her about their lives in their short, repeated interactions. People are quick to exclaim how much they adored her. As a friend to others, she was a mindful listener, knowing when to balance offering advice, when to lend a listening ear, and when to share a silly joke.
Her dream was to travel and, in the last 3 years, she was able to visit Maui, New York & Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, earning her first stamp in her passport.
Constance was preceded in death by her mother Mrs. Susie Ann (and her bonus Dad, Lucious) Harvey, her father, Nathaniel James Page, Sr, two special aunts, Dr. Jacqueline Pollard-Manuel and Ms. Sadie Jean Manuel.
Constance leaves to cherish her precious memory: Her loving, kind and devoted daughter and son Kamaria Renee Carnes and Justin Elliott Carnes; her beautiful, newly born granddaughter Oaklynn Renee Ann Carnes; her granddaughter's mother, Kelsi Ann Schneider and her children's father. Two sisters, Deborah Ann Watley and Angela Venita (Mike) Robinson; one brother Nathaniel James Page Jr. Three aunts, Victoria (Al) Lester, Versaline Hoskins and Dorothy Ann Walton; two uncles, Leo Manuel and Asco (Margaret) Manuel; several nieces and nephews, many cousins and two special friends, Mrs. Sandra Rogers and Ms. Eula Sanders.
Constance will be laid to rest in Atlanta, Georgia.
Visitation for Constance will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Saturday, November 2 from 9:00AM to 11:00 AM at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway, Everett, Washington. Constance's funeral service will take place Saturday, November 2 at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow.
