It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our mother, Caryl Bird, who lost her battle with colon cancer, Friday, April 5th. She is survived by her daughters, Annette Bentley (Kevin), Roxane Raven (Forrest) Laurel Bird Schuh (David,) her sister Laurel Harrington and Caryl’s partner Richard Hopkins and many wonderful Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Bird in 2010. Our families are heartbroken by her passing. Caryl, affectionately known as Moo or Moose, was a kind and beautiful soul with a great sense of humor, who taught us to enjoy our lives. She loved her family fiercely. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Caryl worked in the retail industry for 43 years, making great friends from this community. Caryl was active in the Everett High School Class of “55 committee and spent many years doing good works with her sorority group Beta Sigma Phi and Tau.
She loved travel, local and international and was game for an adventure. She was our best pal and partner in crime. It is not easy to say goodbye, but Caryl was adamant about us not being sad for her.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Caryl, Friday, May 3rd at 2pm - Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery 4504 Broadway Everett, WA. 98203.
Notes can be sent to 1402 Silver Springs Way, Stanwood, WA. 98292

AFTERGLOW
I'd like the memory of me
To be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow
Of smiles
When life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering
Softly down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times
And bright sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
To dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done.
