Carolyn was born in Bakersfield, California on Valentine’s Day, and was the oldest daughter born to Matt Alvin Hammons and Ina Pearl Hammons. Carolyn and Don lived in Federal Way, and raised 3 children. They later relocated to Mukilteo, where they lived for over 30 years. Before retiring, Carolyn worked as a Registered Nurse and a Director of Nursing for many years. She and Don enjoyed traveling, and one of their last trips together was a cruise to Antarctica, which they enjoyed tremendously.

She will be missed greatly by her husband of 55 years, Don, her 3 children Traci, Darci, and Jeffrey and their families, her brother Russell Keefer Jr. and his family, five nieces and their families, and beloved grandchildren Cameron, Morgan, Taylor, and Nathan.
