In loving memory, we are saddened to announce the passing of Anne Elizabeth Kastle on June 26th, 2022. Anne lived sixty-nine wonderful years filled with the love for her son Jackson, his wife Kari Ann, and her most cherished blessings in life, her two granddaughters Madelyn and Karleigh.
Anne was a beloved mother, sister, and friend to many. She grew up and went to school at Shoreline High School, later attending Shoreline and North Seattle Community Colleges. She graduated from the University of Washington and passed the state bar exam after graduating from Gonzaga Law School. Anne’s passion in law lead her into teaching. An educator at heart, she touched the lives of many who had the opportunity to be in her classes she taught. She taught in the Paralegal Program for over 30 years at Edmonds Community College and had served as the head of the department for the college. She loved to read and serve as an editor reviewing textbooks for legal publishers.
A true passion for Anne was her love for music. In her early years, she attended many of the classic rock shows of the sixties that were part of musical history. That love of music transcended her into the world of Grateful Dead as a passionate dead head. “Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile!”
Anne is preceded in her passing by her two loving parents, James and Joyce McConnell, and her former husband and father of her son, David Kastle. She is survived by her son and his wife, Jackson and Kari Ann Kastle, her two beloved granddaughters, Madelyn and Karleigh Kastle, and Anne’s two brothers, Kevin McConnell and Andrew McConnell, in addition to many cousins, relatives and friends.
