Our loving mother and grandmother, Virginia Lee Wagner, 91, of Evansville, went home to Jesus on Friday, October 21, 2016, at Good Samaritan Home. She was born April 6, 1925, in Lawrence County, IL, to the late Richard and Mildred Staninger.
She was a member of First Christian Church for more than 30 years, where she was a greeter and a member of the choir. She enjoyed walking, gardening, and animals.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wagner; brothers and sister; and her beloved dachshund, Megan.
She is survived by daughters, Linda (Gary) Harris, Donna (Bill) Mauzy, and Paulette (Dave) Senning; grandchildren, Brian (Maria) Harris, Ron Harris (Elaine) Bailey, David L. (Michelle) Waters, Krista Gilmore, and Jason Senning; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mike Claypool and Rev. David Mills, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
