Ve Ellen King

She was employed at Faultless Caster for 20 years as a machinist and enjoyed participating in the company choir. She was a member of Garvinwood General Baptist Church. Ve was a counselor for teenage girls in Robards, KY, at the Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was an outstanding mother and a loving grandmother.

Ve was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm B. King, four sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Jadon King Jones (Mickey) of Owensboro, KY; son, Burt King (Madeline) of Evansville; grandchildren, Anthony Overby (Robin), Teresa Anglin (David), Mary Martin (Jeff), Jeffrey Overby (Angie), Christy Schulz (Ryan), Matt King (Kristen); 10 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Jean Hoffman of CO.

Ve’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Newburgh Healthcare, Heritage Hospice; and special friends, Alice, Mary, Charlotte, and Lestie for their care and support.

Services will be 2 PM, Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jim Rudolph, with entombment in Park Lawn Mausoleum. Friends may visit Tuesday, 12-2 PM at the funeral home.
