Troy D. Sweeney

TD retired after 44 years with CSX Transportation. He loved his family, pets and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids as well as his friends at Reed Auction Barn. He was a jack of all trades who was a Top Fuel Drag Racing fan, specifically his favorite driver, John Force.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sorrels; brothers, David Sweeney and Steven Sorrels; and sister, Gwendolyn Weightman.

TD is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Karen (Goodwin) Sweeney; daughter, Kristy (Kenneth) Powell; son, Justin (Claudia) Sweeney; grandchildren, Kindel (Lucas) Neuffer, Kouper Powell, Jazmin Sweeney (Jareanna Hoye), Kaydi Powell, Lainey Sweeney, Troy Sweeney, Na’Mya and Nami Anderson; brother, Lewis (Maria) Sweeney, as well as many nieces and nephews.

No services will be held per the decedent’s request.
