

Thomas was a Union Stewart, Local 808, at Whirlpool for 39 years. He was a life member of the AMVETS 9, American Legion 265, and the Men's Auxiliary DFW 2953.
He graduated from Reitz Memorial High School, class of 1954.
Thomas loved gardening. Growing fruits and vegetables was his true passion in life. He grew corn, okra, bib lettuce, string beans, tomatoes, onions and sun flowers. He had an apple tree that produced sweet red juicy apples and baked pies for Sunday afternoon family dinners from that tree. As did all the produce from his garden, it ended up on the table for his family to enjoy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Kelly Fahey of Dallas, TX; son, Thomas Hayden, Jr. of Dallas, TX; and daughter, Jennifer Hayden of Henderson, KY; grandchildren, Alex Stein of Dallas, TX, Jesse Hayden of Henderson, KY; great grandchild, Joshua Hayden of Henderson, KY; brother, Robert Hayden and sister, Elizabeth Chandler.
Services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel.
