He retired from Alcoa after 32 years where he worked as an Electrician. Terry served as Committeeman, Vice President, and President for United Steel Workers Local 104. He loved his family very much, had a great personality, and was very generous. Terry volunteered for the American Cancer Society and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, was an avid University of Alabama fan, and loved Major League Baseball, especially the Yankees.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Todd Best; and brothers, Gary and Kenny Best.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debbie Best; sons, Dan Best and Andy Best (Laura); daughter, Amy Barnett; brother, Billy Best; daughter-in-law, Theresa Best; step-daughter, Renee Evans; grandchildren, Sydnie Barnett, Shelby Nadeau (Billy), Allyson Gipson, Avery Best (Kegan), Hunter Best, Sydney Gipson, and Lana Gipson; seven great-grandchildren; niece, Tiffany Best; and his dog, Bama Jackson.
Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Alexander East Chapel with Pastor Tony Yates officiating. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
