Steven Darrel Morehead

Steven Darrel Morehead, age 61, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Friday, December 10, 2021. Steven was born April 27, 1960 in Madisonville, KY to the late James and Lola (Layton) Morehead.

He was a music history enthusiast and an avid Colts and Cardinals fan. Steven enjoyed visiting the beach especially Gulf Shores, AL, with his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Any chance he could you would see him riding on his Harley (Pearl)! He never met a stranger and was never at a loss for words.

Steven is survived by daughters, Jamie Morehead (Drew), Jill Allyn, Stacey Baker, Lindsey Morehead; sons, Chad Schmitt (Abby) and Corey Schmitt (Breah); grandchildren, Taylor (Samuel), Blake (Luci), Emma, Sutton, Charlotte, and Lexi; great grandchildren, Everly, Walker, and Waylon; brother, Les Morehead; sister in law, Leanna Smith; long time family friend, Danny Moore; and many other family members and friends.

Steven is preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Barbara J. Morehead.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Alexander North Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation at 7:00 pm that evening.
