Sheri was a Doctor of Oncology and Hematology, starting in Evansville in 2006, where she was loved by all of her patients. She was on the board of directors at Ascension. Sheri was passionate about Cancer Pathways Midwest and Chemo Buddies. She enjoyed beekeeping, reading, wordle, going on vacation with her family, and had a love for fireworks. She was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ. Sheri was involved with the Church Youth Group. Sheri had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh, that would light up the room. She was a competitive person, great at sports, had an artistic mind, and loved animals, especially her Koko.
Sheri met the love of her life, Mark Ziegler, in the Detroit area, through mutual friends (John and Judy Sorovetz). They were married on April Fools Day, in 2005. Then, two years later, they welcomed their only child, whom she adored, Aiden Christian Ziegler.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Arnsmeier; dog, Koko.
Sheri is survived by her husband, Mark Ziegler; son, Aiden Ziegler; father, Dwaine Arnsmeier; brother, Bruce Arnsmeier (Michelle); nephews, Ryan and Kyle Arnsmeier; niece, Alexis Arnsmeier; mother-in-law, Marty "Meme" Ziegler; father-in-law, Larry Ziegler (Bonnie); brother-in-law, Kent Ziegler (Pam); nieces and nephews, Ali Kissinger, Bradley Ziegler (Katy), Sydney Osborne (Justin); great nephew, Jace Ziegler; aunt, Terri Wildrick (Doug) and family; uncle, Ken Johnson (Kay) and family.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Washington Avenue Church of Christ officiated by David Rogers. The service will be livestreamed on https://livestream.com/accounts/25016095/events/8257835. Friends and family may visit 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
