As a member of the Lady Owls, she worked there as a waitress for several years. She enjoyed playing Clabber and was an avid TV watcher. In her later years, she liked playing Bingo. Sharon spent most of her life as a homemaker and raised many children. She loved babies in particular, and often took on babysitting jobs for the children of her friends and family. She was born and raised in Evansville and graduated from Old Central High School in 1958.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Richard Wehr; twin brother, Jack Wambach; grandson, Brian Myers; and parents, Arnold “Smitty” and Luna Wambach.
She is survived by those who will miss her dearly, including her sons, Randy Myers, Tracy John, and David Wehr; daughters, Tina (Myers) Robertson, Vicki Myers, Linda (Wehr) Jackson and Marie and Kelly Wehr; granddaughters, Angie Fluty, Nikki Myers and Leigha Myers; sister, Margy Schmitt; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 16, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
