Ruben Delgado, 77, of Evansville, IN passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Linda E. White Hospice. He was born on August 13, 1945 to the late Eduardo and Nilsa (Delgado) Hernandez.

He retired from General Electric in Mt. Vernon, IN and was a volunteer with the Vanderburgh County Special Olympics. Ruben was a longtime fan of the Evansville Otters.

Ruben was preceded in death by his; brother, Eduardo Hernandez.

He is survived by his five children, Leslie Hernandez, David Delgado, Amber Delgado, Alicia Lambert-Delgado, and Emilio Delgado; seven grandchildren, Angelies, Paolo, Valentino, Ryker, Giulia, Edgar, and Elise; six brothers and sisters, Mercedez, Carmen, Aida, Rafael, Jose- Louis, and Francisco-Javier.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Alexander West Chapel with a visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh County Special Olympics.
