He retired from Whirlpool.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; brothers, Larry Welborn and Charles Hite, Jr.; and sister, Laura Darlene Hite.
He is survived by his companion, Lois Martin of Owensboro, KY; daughters, Mary Ann, Tammy, Rachel, Annette, Sylvia, Sarah and Tiarra; son, Robert Welborn, Jr.; brother, Steven Hite; and sisters, Mary (Riggle) Chrisley, Kris Welborn and Linda Steiner.
Funeral services were held 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends visited Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
