Robert L. Hurt

Bob retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was an avid golfer and IU Basketball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Roberta Hurt and sister, Janita Powers.

Bob is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ronda Hurt; son, Jeff Hurt and wife, Sarah of Evansville; son, Steve Hurt and wife, Kaiva of Celestine, IN; son, Joey Hurt and wife, Trinah of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Cody, Peyton, Tanner, and Corbin Hurt; brothers, Doug and Ray Hurt both of Evansville; and sisters, Mary Jo Hawes and Carol Meier both of Jasper.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 at Alexander East Chapel and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church, 609 SE Second Street, officiated by Pastor Kevin Fleming.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or First Presbyterian Church.
