Rita C. Hammermeister

Rita C. (Barnes) Hammermeister, 74, of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at St Vincent Hospital. She was born on January 12, 1947. Rita graduated from Reitz High School class of 1965. She worked at Koch Label and at Fiberfil. Rita loved herbs, flowers, and her many cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Oretha Barnes; nephew, Larry “Bubba” Barnes, Jr. Rita is survived by her sons, Jerry Barnes (Fiancée Aimee Smith), James Hammermeister; grandchildren, Sarah, Dillon and Mary; brother, Larry Barnes and wife Sharon and many nieces and nephews.
