Rick R. Stanley

Rick R. Stanley, 62, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Deaconess VNA Hospice Center. He graduated from Reitz High School in 1971 and attended USI where he was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity. He was a lineman from Vectren, where he retired after 37 years of service. Rick enjoyed all sports, especially IU basketball, but his big love was baseball. He coached baseball at German Township, Rhinelander and Highland. He was a big fan of the New York Yankees. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Gene and Virginia Stanley; and niece and nephew, Hans and Gretel Stanley. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Annette (LeGrand) Stanley; son, Chris (Angie) Stanley; daughter, Sarah (Curt) Moore; grandsons, Jordan and Parker Stanley and Justin and Connor Moore; sister, Doris (Tim) Buecher; brothers, Nic (Diane) Stanley and Vic (Lori) Stanley; niece, Nikki Stanley; and nephew, Lance Buecher. The family would like to thank all their many friends for their love and support during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, officiated by Pastor Bob Simpkins. Friends may visit Saturday from 10:30 AM until service time at the cemetery chapel.
