She graduated from Castle High School. Pauline enjoyed her time working for Deaconess Hospital for many years. She was a member of Blue Grass Church where she played the piano and was a member of the choir. Pauline was an avid quilter and enjoyed crocheting. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and gardening. Pauline loved her family as a mom, grandma, and great-grandma.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Myron “Gene” Chandley; daughter, DeVade Dortch; sons, Gary Chandley (Rose) and Jerry Truitt; son-in-law, Bryan Allen; grandchildren, Christine Jerrell (Louis), Timothy Stone (Whitney), Amanda Pickett, Matthew Evans (Autumn), Marissa Chandley, Zachary White and Sara Rae Thornton; great-grandchildren, Brianna Jerrell, Jayden Jerrell, Kylie Pickett, Addison Pickett, Elliott Stone, Ethan Stone, Everlee Wheeler, Riley Mae and Lizzie Jean; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Allen; parents, Freeman Dierlam and Viola McFarland; brother, Freeman Dierlam; and sister, Elnora Frazier.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Alexander North Chapel, 2200 Stringtown Road, Evansville, IN, officiated by Pastor Doug Heiman. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
