Olga B. Chapman

Olga Burnett Chapman, 94, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away November 26, 2023. A resident of Evansville, Indiana, Olga was born on February 10, 1929 to Herbert and Ouida Burnett in Wingo, Kentucky. After the death of her father, the family moved to Covington, Tennessee, where she dedicated many years of work to Southern Bell Telephone Company. There she met Robert Edward Chapman, Jr. They were married on September 24, 1950. Olga was a member of Old North United Methodist Church, where she was active in several church and community organizations. Olga was preceded in death by Ed, her loving husband of 62 years, her mother and father, three sisters, and one brother. Olga is survived by her daughter Diane C. Sellers; son-in-law Ralph A. Sellers II, MD; grandson, Ralph A. “Trey” Sellers III (Cas); great grandchildren Haley and Lyla of Woodstock, Georgia; grandson, Scott E. Sellers (Kim); great grandchildren Henry and Charlie of Greenville, SC; granddaughter, Shannon A. Dyess (Wayne); great grandchildren Garrett and Baleigh of Daphne, Alabama; sister, Barbara Boshers of Evansville, IN, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd., Evansville, IN, with entombment to follow at Alexander Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Old North United Methodist Church.
