Melissa was a graduate of North High School in 2002. She worked at Westside Family Eye Care for 17 years and enjoyed being with her coworkers. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas. Brantley Gilbert was her favorite country artist. She loved being around family, they were inseparable.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thelma and Leonard Gibson, William and Stella Brown and Winnie Bradley.
Melissa is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jason Brown; son, Jayden Brown; daughter, Ashlyn Brown; parents, Wanda and Timothy Sallee; brother, Ryan Sallee (Tiffany); sister, Angela Clegg (Lee); four nieces; one nephew; grandparents, Peggy and Donald Sallee; father-in-law, Keith Brown; mother-in-law, Susan Bradley; step-mother-in-law, Emma Brown; and sister-in-law, Jennifer Simmons (Mike).
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2021, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Pyle, with livestreaming at www.facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA and burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
