Mary Darlene Stahl

Darlene was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 24, 1945 to the late Earl Bernard and Mary "Delores" (Hicks) Steurer. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cooking breads and being with her dog Lily Lou. Darlene was a faithful member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she organized the bereavement meals. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 50 years, Alan Stahl of Evansville, IN; daughter, Lori Ann Simpson (Stephen) of Newburgh, IN; son, Brad Alan Stahl (Kiersten) of Evansville, IN; sister, Carol True; brother, Donald Steurer; and by her grandchildren, McKenna and Evan Stahl and Ashley, Adam, Logan and Tyler Simpson.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 5130 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47715 with Rev. Mitch Gieselman officiating. Burial will follow at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until service time at the church on Wednesday.

The family would like to thank Darlene's nurses, Kristie, Kourtney and Jamie and also Dr. Kent Burress for their compassionate care.
