Mary Jane loved animals, reading, gardening and the St. Louis Cardinals. She especially cherished her granddaughters. Mary Jane was a very faithful woman.
She was preceded in death by her son, “Little Chris” Brown; grandparents who raised her, Louis and Myrtle Sutton; four sisters and one brother; parents Walter and Louise Sutton.
Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 31 years, Steven Skelton; daughter, Jennipher McCormick (Scott); son, William Brown (Carla); granddaughters, Molly and Kahlan; sisters, Dorothy, Carol, Susan, Anne, and Madonna; brothers, Walter and Asa; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Father Ted Tempel with burial and graveside service to follow at 12:30 p.m. in Centerville, IL Cemetery. Friends may visit 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022 and Friday 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
