She was a member of VFW Post #1114 Ladies Auxiliary and of First Presbyterian Church, since 1952, where she was a Deacon, belonged to the Presbyterian Women, and taught Sunday School. Marge worked for Hoosier Cardinal during WWII and was also a licensed beautician. She loved children, was a substitute assistant Kindergarten teacher, and loved reading to children. Marge came from a musical family, loved music, and enjoyed dancing and singing. She also enjoyed cooking and baking and was well known for her tins of homemade cookies and candies she shared with friends and family at Christmas. Marge was very proud of her family, and was a devoted wife and mother.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Maurice L. Oglesby; son, Terry Wayne Oglesby; sisters, Iona Hanor and Jeanette Titzer; and brother, Ivan Reynolds.
She is survived by her daughters Sherry Patton of Mt. Carmel, IL and Michelle (Jeff) Haywood of Evansville, IN; son, Thom Oglesby of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Kerry Fleeger, Ryan Patton and Laura Haywood; great-grandchildren, Kylene Fleeger, Sophie Armstrong and Elaina Patton; and siblings, John Reynolds, Rovilla Ogg, Raymond Reynolds, Irvin Reynolds, Dorothy Miller, Edna Stratton and Charlie Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, August 19, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church, 609 SE 2nd St., Evansville, IN 47713, officiated by Rev. Kevin Fleming, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel and Friday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church.
