Maggie was best known for her compassionate heart and enormous capacity for love. She worked in a variety of caregiving positions including childcare and working in the school system. Maggie loved talking to and uplifting others and watching scary movies, but her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. Maggie was the finest example of what it means to be a mother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve Vaughn; and siblings; Gene, Eddie, Mary, Kathy, Jimmy, Bobby, David, and a baby sister lost in infancy.
Maggie is survived by her youngest sister, Lucille Landreth; younger brother, Joe Landreth; children, Jacob Cook (Tracy), Joshua Cook (Nicole), and Olivia Cook; grandchildren, Aaron McCollum (Alex), Jonathon Cook, Kennedy Cook; great grandchild, Angela McCollum; as well as countless other family members and loved ones near to her heart.
