Linda M. (Gash) Floyd, 70, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born March 28, 1942, in Evansville.
She retired from Sears after 25 years. She was a member of CrossPointe Trinity Church for 65 years (formerly Trinity Wesleyan Church), where she most recently served as treasurer, was on the Board of Administration and was a member of Best Years Fellowship. She was a lifetime member of the Parent Teacher’s Association (PTA). She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, and spending time with family.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Floyd, in 2010; parents, Richard and Laverna Gash; nephew, David Ennulat; and niece, Penny Cosby.
She is survived by her daughters, Candy Acuff (George) and Linda Beane (Rich); son, Jim Floyd; grandchildren, Kevin, Lesley, Christa and Lindsey; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Ennulat (George) of Evansville; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Duane Allison. Friends may visit Wednesday from 12:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
