He retired after 40 years from L&N – CSX railroad. Larry was an Air Force Veteran and loved the military. He also had a passion for airplanes, the railroad, hot rods, and was an avid gun enthusiast. Larry’s main passion was making people laugh, which he did well and often. He generously gave to various charities.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sue (Musgrave) Rose and brother, Robert (Bobby) Rose.
He is survived by his sons, Jim Rose, David Rose, and Larry Rose; daughter, Susan M. Woodall; grandchildren, Heather A., Michael D., Christopher M., Dylan S., Hailea E., Max A., Teresa, April, David, Gene; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Alexander East Chapel, Evansville, IN 47714. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the funeral home. Family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Alexander Memorial Park with Military Rites to be conducted at his final resting place.
