Keith W. Shumate

Keith W. Shumate, 64 years old, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital. Keith graduated from F. J. Reitz High School in 1969. He had worked at Stewart Foods and Riverbend Association but was retired as of January, 2016.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Shumate; sons Adrian Shumate (Sara), Drew Shumate (Rachel), and Alex Shumate; grandchildren Olive Marie and Lily Ann; brother, Randy Shumate (Jeannine); nephews, Brandon (Missy), Beau (Sharon), Blake (Katie) and niece, Ashley (Patrick); brother-in-law, John Bauer (Leah); sister-in-law, Jane Rice (John); nephew, Aaron Rice (Emily, Cooper) and niece, Rebecca Young (Chris).

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bonnie Shumate.

Visitation will be held at Alexander West Chapel on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 beginning at 11:00 A.M. with funeral services at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family of Keith would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Deaconess Hospital, expressly those in the neuro ICU unit and Hospice unit, for their care and kindness.
