Karen M. Horton, 59, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at her home. She was born on September 10, 1961 in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Clarence A. and Rosa M. Horton, Sr.
Karen was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved her dogs, Harley and Molly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Billy Joe McGill.
Karen is survived by her husband, Jim Mercer; daughter, Jennifer Lamell (Kenny); son, Jerry McGill (Heather); and grandkids, Kelly Baker, Joshua Baker, Kenny Lamell, IV, Izik McGill, Donald Wade, Cindy Wade and two great grandbabies, Arabelle and Acelyn Nelson; sister, Susan Golden (Mike); and brother, Clarence Horton, Jr. (Laura Will).
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
