June G. Jones

She was a bookkeeper at the Evansville Ship Yard during WWII and retired from K-Mart after 20 years, where she had worked in bookkeeping and the camera department. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1941. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery and was a loving mother.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Farnalee “Buck” T. Jones; grandson, Koty Jones; sister, Joyce Eastridge; and brother-in-law, James Baumgart.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (John) Jansen of Texas, Carolyn (Marion) Lawson, Bonnie (Mike) Lewis and Barbara Sartore; sons, John Jones, Rolan “Butch” (Brenda) Jones and Kenneth Jones, all of Evansville; sister, Charlotte (James) Baumgart; brother, Russell W. (Helen) McLeod; 31 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 10, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Kim Wells, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
