Joyce Ann Poulson

Joyce Ann Poulson, 90, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 20, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born in Evansville, IN, on June 12, 1934, to the late Walter Robert and Ethel Caroline (Stock) McCutchan. Joyce enjoyed a rich life filled with babysitting, quilting, family gatherings, and caring for others. Her love for camping and traveling to family reunions brought her much joy. She faithfully served her church in various capacities, including nursery care, dinners, and rummage sales. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Vickie Putler (Myron), Karen Kleinpeter (Kevin), and Tammy Clark (Kevin); sons, Ken Poulson and Gary Poulson (Jody); nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, George Poulson; parents, Walter and Ethel McCutchan; sister, Evelyn Kinney; brother, Raymond “Ray” McCutchan; and great-grandson, infant Easton Michael (Poulson) Garrison. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road and again on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Blue Grass Church, 14200 Petersburg Road, Evansville, IN. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Blue Grass Church, officiated by Pastor Doug Heiman, with burial to follow in Blue Grass Cemetery. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice, Blue Grass Church, and Pastor Doug Heiman for their compassionate care and support.
