Joseph "Joey" Keith Gibson

Joey served his country proudly for 17 years in the Navy. He was an Operations Specialist on the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71 and finished his career as a Corpsman at Beaufort Naval Hospital. He was a loving husband, father, papaw and friend. Joey loved spending time in the woods, shooting his guns, and spoiling his 2 granddaughters - they were his pride & joy! He will be missed tremendously by his family and friends.

He is survived by wife of 24 years, Dawn Marie Gibson; children, Breanna (Tommy) Gunn and Jarred Gibson; grandchildren, Isabella “Peanut” May Gunn, Addison “Pumpkin” Leanne Gunn; mother Lisa Gibson; siblings, John Gibson and Linda (Brian) Tilton; nieces and nephews, Matilda Tilton and Ian Tilton; very close friends, Steve (Kathy) Pegram and Antonio Graves.

Joey is preceded in death by his granny, Veda Shell.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, at the VFW, 110 N. Wabash Avenue of Flags, Evansville, IN 47712 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
