Joseph Allen Combs

Joe was born in Germantown, Ohio on July 25, 1942 to the late Charles and Eleanor Combs. Joe was a long- time rabbit breeder and was actively involved with the National New Zealand Club. Joe worked at Faultless Caster for 37 years and had recently retired at age 80 from Old North United Methodist Church. Joe was also a member of Lessing Lodge in Evansville, IN. He and his wife, Alice recently moved to Somerset, Ky and enjoyed their time with their youngest daughter and grandchildren.

Joe is survived by his wife, Alice (Elmore) Combs; daughters, Mari-Frances Combs and Margaret (Combs) Childers; granddaughters, Selin Sergin, Sera Sergin, Alexandra Childers; and grandsons, Joshua Childers and Andrew Childers. He is also survived by his sister, Mary (Combs) Ray, many nieces and nephews and very special daughter, Becky (Grisham) and her husband, Allen Whitehouse.

Joe was preceded in death by his loving parents; siblings, Richard Combs, William Combs, and his twin sister, Janet (Combs) Smith.

Joe’s family will hold a private ceremony to celebrate his life.
