He was a member of Church of Christ in Christian Union. John was a U.S. Navy veteran, Reverend, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He attended Pleasant Chapel General Baptist Church.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Anna (Reed); parents, John Sr. and Evelyn (Armstrong) Rogers; son, Robert Rogers; granddaughter, Andrea Rogers; sister, Violet Anderson; and 3 great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Roy (Erika) Rogers, Mary Weed, Patty Rogers, James (Joan) Rogers, Sanford Rogers, David Rogers, Dawn Higsby; 31 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; adopted family, Victoria Folz and her children, Jason and Samantha Folz; Kim Lee and family; and John’s Chihuahua, Angel.

Illinois Street, Evansville, IN.Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 1, 2018 with visitation 10:00 AM until service time at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY officiated by Jason Rogers with burial in Shawsville Cemetery in Conklin, NY.
