He was an Evansville Fire Fighter for 32 years, retiring in 1991. John also worked at Arts Glass and Siemers Glass. He served in the National Guard-Army Reserve.
John was a member of the American Legion, the NRA, and was also a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed reading, especially US, world, and military history. He enjoyed nature, music and playing the guitar.
He was preceded in death by brother, Mike Craddock; and his parents, John and Minnie (Moers) Craddock-Killebrew.
John is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jan Craddock; sons, John Craddock, Jr., Jason Craddock (Marissa) of Grove City, OH, Jarrod Craddock (Belle) of Indianapolis, IN, David Craddock, and Randy Craddock (Kris) of Pompano Beach, FL; daughter, Vicki Rolley (Dean); 12 grandchildren, Jamie Willis (Chris), Laura Craddock, Brandon Rolley (Lindsey), Jordan Rolley (Brittney), Kirsten Schimmell (Todd), Alexander Craddock, Madison Craddock, Andrew Craddock, Maximus Craddock, Paxton Craddock, David Craddock, Jr., Zack Craddock; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, October 31, 2011 at Alexander North Chapel, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 2:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2011 and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
