Joanne L. Terry, 81, of Evansville, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Woodbridge Nursing Home. She was born August 3, 1932, in Evansville, to the late Edward and Celia (Eaton) Irick.
She was Secretary for Eastside Christian Church for 30 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was married to the late James F. Terry. Her hobbies included caring for her pets and reading. She also loved classical music.
Joanne was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Irick.
She is survived by her son, James F. (Teresa) Terry II; granddaughters, Victoria Anne, Alexandria Rose, and Isabella Maria; brother, Edward Irick; and sister, Sharon Taylor of Jeffersonville, IN.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 25, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Schwambach, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
