Jeannette was born July 28, 1916 and was a life-long resident of Evansville’s westside. Following graduation from F.J. Reitz High School, she worked for many years at Lois Fashion Shop as a buyer and salesperson. She always kept her house and yard in immaculate condition and was an early adopter of recycling, never wanting to see something go to waste.
She joined St. James West United Methodist Church in her youth, shortly after the church was founded, and was very involved in church activities her entire life. Jeannette loved her church and rarely missed Sunday services, or church events, until poor health prevented travel.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Lantaff, and three grandchildren, Scott Lantaff (Connie), Julie Williams (Kirk) and Jennifer Sexton (Brent). Jeannette is also survived by several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Marshall and son-in-law Mert Lantaff, who was instrumental in Jennette’s care as her health declined.
