Jane grew up on a family farm in Ft. Branch, where she developed a deep appreciation for nature and community. She graduated from Ft. Branch High School in 1972 and went on to earn an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Wabash Valley College. Jane dedicated her career to caring for others, working with the elderly at The Little Sisters of the Poor and co-owning Hofmann's Corner General Store, a cherished local business.
Jane was passionate about life. She loved fishing, traveling, crafting, painting, cooking, gardening, canning, crocheting, and playing clabber. Above all, her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She cherished every moment spent teaching them, playing games, and sharing her love and wisdom. Known for her warm smile and compassionate spirit, Jane was deeply involved in her children’s lives and the community. As an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she generously volunteered, especially during the church's annual fish fry. Jane had a heart of gold and was so supportive of everyone. Her kindness will be missed by many.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kris (David) Moss, Kathy (Brad) Egli, and Kim (Matt) Chenault; seven adored grandchildren, David and Madelyn Moss, Nathan and Lindsey Egli, and Samantha, Annabelle, and Owen Chenault; thirteen siblings: Larry (Diane) Kiesel, David Kiesel, Kenny (Donna) Kiesel, Diane (John) Hasenour, Cindy (Joe) Effinger, Gene (Donna) Kiesel, Randy (Kay) Kiesel, Dorris (Kent) Baehl, Greg (Lisa) Kiesel, Teresa (Rick) Granderson, Julie (Mark) Rexing, Tracy (Diane) Kiesel, and Mark Kiesel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
