He retired from whirlpool.
James is a member of St Paul United Church of Christ and the VFW Post 1114 since 1948 and was an Army Veteran of WWII.
He was preceded by his wife, Dolores Georgette.
James was survived by his daughter, Denise Thorbeck and husband, Larry; sisters, Eloise Marks, Gloria Herrenbruck ; brothers, Richard Georgette; grandchildren, Justin Wellmeier, Chris Wellmeier and wife Cathy, Dan and Cory Thorbeck; and Ginger Owen.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Vista Care Hospice.
Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jeff Long with burial at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed at the cemetery by the members VFW Post 1114. Friends may visit Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 Illinois Street, Evansville, Indiana.
