She graduated from Reitz High School and was a child care worker and homemaker. She was a member of Christ Chapel, and lived her faith by personally helping individuals and families who were facing hard times. She and Monte often did without many necessities, and instead, gave unselfishly to those in need. Helen’s sense of humor was a blessing to all who knew her well. She never lost her child-like sense of fun, spreading laughter wherever she went.
Loved ones who welcomed Helen into her heavenly home include her parents and nine siblings, Arthur, Clarence, Edna, Faye (Strum), Jim, Juanita, Leona (Stone), Paul and William.
Family members who will miss Helen dearly include Monte, her husband of 55 years; son, Richard; daughter, Nan; treasured friend who became family; Pam Kirk; brother, John Tucker, all of Evansville.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 11:00 AM until service time.
