H. Irene (Sanders) Jenkins, 94, of Evansville, passed away September 26, 2013, at Signature Healthcare, formerly Angel River Healthcare. She was born December 19, 1918, in Warrick County, IN, to the late H. M. Sanders and Ota Bates.
She was preceded in death by husband of 56 years, Robert R. “Glenn” Jenkins; sisters, Edna Fisher and Ethel Kritsch Jaeggers; and her parents.
She is survived by son, Tom Jenkins; daughter, Annette Jenkins; four grandchildren, Kim (Vince) Boragina, Kurt Jenkins, Kenneth (Shannon) Jenkins, and C. J. Jenkins; and three great-grandchildren, Emma, Nicholas, and Jade.
Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 30, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Gary LaRoy, minister, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
