Harry worked for Ball Plastics of Evansville for 42 years, and retired as Plant Manager in Ft. Smith, AR. He was a Navy veteran having served during the Korean War. Harry was a member of West Side Christian Church for 74 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post # 1114. Harry and his wife Mary enjoyed traveling, camping, and their 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his identical twin, Harold; brothers, W.R. and Howard.
Harry is survived by his wife of 74 years, Mary Katherine (Carney) Mitchell; daughter, Joetta Walker (Mike); sons, Gary Mitchell (Lisa), Steven Mitchell (Moni); 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jerry Wright with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Family and friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
