Harold Weber, 91, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Linda E. White Hospice House. He was born September 11, 1925, in Evansville, IN to the late Edward and Emma (Schmitz) Weber.
He served in the US Navy during WWII on the U.S.S. Taylor DD468 and was a member of American Legion Post #265. He later retired from Whirlpool after 42 years of service.
Harold was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Raymond and Edward Weber; sisters, Mildred and Florence Weber; step-son, Alfred Stanley Higginbotham; daughters-in-law, Shirley and Jeanne Higginbotham; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma Weber; and step-son, Edward Higginbotham; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great, great- grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor David Cullison and Rev. Don Moore. Friends may visit Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Private entombment in Alexander Memorial Park will be held at a later date.
